Lions club organised its 12 th umeed Project to day on the eve of birth day of PDG lion Swarnjit Singh Bagli .Club wished a happy birthday to lion Bagli ji and prayed for good health and happiness in his life.To day was also Anti Poverty day and may day .A very poor family was served with anaz/atta to day by the club.Thanks to DG district 321 f lion Preet Kanwal Singh who initiated to celeberate the birthdays of the DG/PDG/VDG during the year 2011-12.In this way clubs came close to the high dignities who served the lionism during their tenure.This step is appreciable.Being an Anti Povery Day a family living below poverty line was selected to give anaz/atta to day.Lion Dr V C Luthra added that club organised 12 th umeed projects during the year 2011-12 mostly these were organised on birth days of the DG/VDG/PDG.Club in every month approched very poor family for this purpose.Poors also felt relief on receiving anaz/atta offered by the club.President Lion Sukhnandan Aggarwal said that the step to donate atta/anaz should be continued by the new year officers also.Lion Dr Navdeep Sharma secy 2012-13 said that he will try to follow this path .Lion Jagroop Singh Jassi cashier 2012-13 Lion Nirbhai Singh very active lion member and lion Vipin Garg who joined the project were impressed on seeing the poor peoples living in villages which can only be saved such lions clubs who are organinsing umeed projects.
