Lions Club Bagha Purana celebrated 68 Independece day 15 th August 2014 at its opted School Baba Ujaggar Singh Govt.High School Budh Singh Wala. Lion Sant Ram Bhandari alongwith its team and lion members joined in the school with the Headmaster S Perminder Singh his staff and students of the school.Flag ceremony was hoisted by Lion Sant Ram Bhandari along with other members of the club. Lion Sukhmander Singh Secy Lions Club in his brief speech briefed how the independence struggles by the leaders of India like Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh sacrifices.After long struggles India became independent in 1947. A group of students read national anthem a great respect ot the country. As it was the necessity of the students the club donated tats of Rs 5000/- to the school.The Headmaster of the school thanked lions club for this nobal cause towards students of the school. The grandson of Baba Ujaggar Singh S,Gursewak Singh honoured the students of the school who achieved top positions in the school,Lion members distributed ladoos to the students as the independence day is celebrated by distributing ladoos to the public/students.This is the tradition of India to offer ladoos on this day.Students who participated in anthem song were honoured by the club members.The lion joined in the school Lion Ashok Mittal,Lion Jagroop Singh Jassi,Lion Parmod Kataria,Lion Surinder Jaidka PRO ,Lion Gurmail Singh Dhillon,Lion Darshan Gupta,Lion Harbans Singh Brar,Lion Dr Veer Chand Luthra,Lion Dr Baljit Singh In the end of the function Headmaster S.Perminder Singh and staff thanked lion club members.,LC members assured the Headmaster all kind of help to the school as per their requirement.
