Teacher day is celebrated every year in India and abroad,World Teachers day declared is 5 October while in India it is celebrated on 5 Sept, birthday of Saravpalli Radha Krishnan former President of India, He stated this on his birthday while he was President of India, It is great honour to teachers given by the Govt of India/NGO, Lions Clubs in India celebrate this day as a great respect to teachers.Lions Club Bagha Purana organised its function at Govt.Senior Secondary School Bagha Purana on 5 September 2014, Though there was a heavy rain in the city lion members teachers /Staff/students of the school joined attractive function arranged by Lions Club Bagha Purana, Lion Sant Ram Bhandari President ,Lion Sukhmander Singh Secy,Lion Parmod Kataria Cashier,Lion Nand Singh Brar Municipal Counceller ,Lion Harbans Singh Brar,Lion Dr Veer Chand Luthra,Lion Jagroop Singh Jassi,Lion Dr Navdeep Sharma,Lion Gauri Shanker joined the function.Sh, Bhupinder Singh Brar Principal of the school gave a warm receiption to lion members and teachers to be honoured 11 teachers from various school were invited as they were selected as best teachers in the area, Lion Sant Ram Bhandari and Lion Sukhmander Singh told that club is honouring teachers on 5 September every year as a great respect to the teaching profession since so many last years. Teachers were presented a best momento as a respect from club side,Bhupinder Singh Brar Principal thanked the lions Club officials/members,Students of the school performed some entertainment items in the funcion,Lion mjf Dr Madan Lal Setia arranged best momentos for the teachers,Lions Club Bagha Purana thanked lion mjf Dr M L Setia,.Lions Club on thid day committed that club will carry on its celebration to honour teachers in coming years.
